Budget Hi-Fi setup

I am looking for a pair of speakers for my setup at Uni. I want a pair that sound quality but don't distort at loud volumes (obviously for uni parties).

I have seen some Mission 732's and also some Tannoy Mercury MK2's locally both at around £60.
Both have a fairly decent sensitivity, would these be good options?

(also some Pioneer S-X430's but I don't think they're in the same league as the other two)

Your best bet is going to be looking for used components. There isn't really anything all that good new for a budget of 60 GBP. I would recommend getting something from the 80's or so - They tend to have really large drivers with a great low end. They're not the cleanest sounding speakers in the world, generally but they definitely provide a lot of oomph, especially for the money. Pair that with some cheap receiver, and you should be good!

Hey! New SIgnature!

I'm supposedly a person on the Internet, but you'll never know if I'm human or not ;)
