Windows 10 Clean Install

Hey guys,

I am going to be a doing a big storage upgrade to my desktop, so I am going to do a clean install of Windows on my new 1TB 860 EVO. It's been a while since I've done this so I want to make sure I don't miss anything important.

I've done the following:

1. Downloaded the drivers for all my hardware onto a USB drive (just in case)

2. Downloaded Windows 10 to a USB drive from the Media Creation Tool

3. All my important data is either on OneDrive or on a backup HDD.

Planning to:

1. Secure Erase 850 EVO 250GB for resale

2. Boot & Nuke WD Blue 1TB for resale

3. ONLY have the 1TB 860 EVO connected when I do the clean install to make sure it gets initialized as Drive 0 and not Drive 1/2/3/etc (I had issues in the past with this when I had multiple SSDs or HDDs hooked up)

Is there anything else I am missing that I should do?

Thanks!

Leave your HDD as backup drive, do not sell it.

Also, if you want to made system image in the future (instead of reinstalling if something goes wrong) made smaller (250 GB for example) partition on your new SSD to made images smaller and easier/faster to restore.

Thabks I’m actually replacing the 1TB HDD with a 4TB as I needed more space so I will still have the backup
