I bought a older e machine used that had windows 10 on it. It worked great for several months but began to bog down so I did a reset or factory reset on it so i could just start fresh..... And now the PC wont boot up anymore and all the options to repair or fix doesn't help at all. I had a Linux mint CD that I tried to boot from and that worked/ was able to boot into the mint OS. But it was only showing about 1.5 gig of storage so i cant really do much of anything. I forgot to mention that the PC has 1 tb of storage. My question is how can I fix this machine back to where it was with windows 10 or what ever the OS was that came with it (i believe it was 7) or run it with Linux with all that memory I use to have available. I'm somewhat tech savvy but most of it has been self taught over that past decade. Thanks for any and all help/advice.

Mike

Huge difference in these depending on how old the machine is. Some PCs are so old and proprietary they reject new operating systems, so you should try your hand at creating a windows 7 installer and starting fresh.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

Depending on specs, I'd download anything from Windows 98 all the way to 7 on it, because as far as I know, the eMachine brand lasted for quite some time.

According to wikipedia, it was founded in September 1998, in 2004 it was acquired by Gateway who in turn was acquired by Acer in 2007, the eMachine brand was discontinued/defunct in January 2013.
