Face recognition brightness

I noticed after installing my last update that the phone steadily increases the brightness when the facial recognition is trying to search for my face. If I turn it off by clicking the X the brightness will go back to its original state. Anyone else got this? my phone is Galaxy A8 2018 btw

Don't know much about the phone, but my guess is that it's using visual spectrum mapping, not IR mapping, so it's increasing brightness to attempt to get more light on your face while scanning it.

Hi! The thing is this has never happened before the update.. I tried searching for some option in the settings but all was the same.
