My ATX system has 158mm cooler clearance and my CPU cooler is 158mm tall, but when I see through the side panel glass of the case, it looks like there is a gap around 2-3mm between the top end of the cooler heatpipes and the case side panel glass.

 

So generally the case is spec-ed more room that it mentioned by the case manufacturer

Are you referring to the Infinity Hades? I can't find the listed cpu cooler clearance for it online.
