Looking for

Looking for a Cheap (under 100 usd), 650 watt psu that is either modular, semi-modular, or non-modular. I don't care if it is either.  I just want one that will be good quality.

What are you running? 650W is probably unnecessary.

My system specs are: 

- I7 6700k 3.40 GHz

- MSI GTX 980 Armor 2x OC 

- ASUS Z170‑PRO GAMING Motherboard

- ATNG ATM-600FB 600W 80 Power Supply

- WD Blue 1TB Desktop Hard Disk Drive - 7200 RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache

- Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO

 

I just figured that I should get a little over the normal watt for my pc because I play on upgrading my gpu to a 1080 soon. But correct me if I'm wrong!

You'll be fine with a 6700K/1080 on 550W, the only reason you'd need more is if you were going HEDT or multi-GPU but since you're not you'll be fine. Also for the love of god man get a better cooler, the 212 is awful. get something like https://pcpartpicker.com/product/FRYLrH/be-quiet-dark-rock-4-cpu-cooler-bk021 that way your CPU is cooler and you can overclock more

Thanks dude! Do you think i'll have to apply more thermal paste if I get the new cooler? I've had my pc for the better part of 3 years

Cleaning off and swapping thermal paste never hurts.

Alright nice, does it matter if I get a fully modular psu or not? I mean all I need is one graphics card so I think any non-modular psu would work but let me know. I'm just trying to save a little money

Just get one of the ones I linked you, they are the best on the market under $100. For the record I currently own all three (G2 is an 850W though and not currently in use) and they are all excellent.

wow that is really good, and my pc should be fine? Because my old psu was a off-brand 600 watt but i think it was bad because it was from a company called ATNG which looks pretty trash

Yeah so long as everything still works. As I said get that new cooler as well
