I am currently running on windows 10, and I am unable to disable mouse acceleration. I have enhance pointer precision turned off, tried the markc mouse fix, didn't help. I tried everything and searched everywhere for this problem but nobody else seems to have this. I have a normal mouse, it's not for gaming and it doesn't come with a software. Could this be a windows fault? A corrupted file or something? This is really annoying in games and sometimes it's unplayable. Thanks in advance.

This isn't a solution for me as I wouldn't have even bothered to open this thread if someone suggested me to buy a new mouse. I've seen way worse mice that don't have acceleration and they were running on crappy pcs, so I guess it's not my mouse's fault

Non-gaming mice have trash sensors with a lot of acceleration, the fact that you disabled acceleration in windows and it's still not working properly shows that it's the mouse sensor issue. There is a reason why gaming mice exist, you can get a really good gaming mouse for $30.

Probably the sensor, what mouse do you have?

It's branded Genius but doesn't really have any information at all. Yesterday I was at a friends house and he had a microsoft mouse (it was older than mine, and running on win 7) and I tried cs 1.6 and he had no acceleration. I think my best thing to do is try my mouse at his pc, then maybe I'll understand if its my mouse who's causing the problem

Yeah, i've got a feeling it's the mouse tho. Buy yourself a cheap gaming mouse if you want a better sensor, or even better save up for an actual gaming mouse if you want the best possible sensor for gaming

I have actually ordered this really cheap gaming mouse for 6$ like two weeks ago and waiting for it to arrive, you can give it a look: https://www.ebay.com/itm/5500-DPI-7-Buttons-LED-USB-Optical-Wired-Gaming-Mouse-For-Pro-Gamer-Hot/272242533240

Based on reviews it doesn't seem to be a bad mouse. What do you think?

Here is how your $6 mouse will perform, https://youtu.be/kAEL0zTfbU0?t=663

you need to spend at least $20 on a mouse to get a good FPS gaming experience.

Thanks for the vid! I will wait for it to arrive and tell you how it'll work. It is probably better than my current 2$ mouse, so it's okay for me. By the way do you have any suggestions for a good mouse around 20-25$?
