Help me choose please

Hello everyone! 

I am very confused as to which monitor I should choose. I have a PS4 pro and I want a good looking image and smooth gameplay. I’ve been looking for monitors and reading a lot and now I’m totally lost! 

I’m on a budget so I can’t buy the expensive 4K HDR 144hz 1ms monitor. Could you please help me choose between  these: AOC Agon AG271QX which according to what I’ve read has a the best performance and is QHD or should I go with something 4K like the Acer VP28UQG. I know the PS4 PRO won’t run at more than 60hz, but the input lag and response time are better with the AOC. As a conclusion, do you think I should go with better performance and QHD or do the 4K and HDR features really make a difference?

What do you want to use it for first? Gaming on High settings or work? Or only PS Gaming?

If you have a GTX 1080 or higher it will be a good choice to take the AOC monitor. If just PS Gaming, a 4k monitor would be good. There are cheap 4k monitors from Samsung that are good enough for PS Gaming only.

I would choose a 4k monitor if you only use it for ps4 gaming. the ps4 won't use anything like g-sync, 165 hertz or things like that. on that VP28UQG, isn't that an Asus monitor and not an acer?

Oops ! My bad! It’s an ASUS yes. Sorry ! 

Yeah but I mainly play FPS online. Aren’t the response time and input lag the most important features for these kind of games ?

For some people they are, but higher hertz then 60 and gsync just will not work on a ps4 pro. So I cant recommended you a monitor, but the ideal one here is a 60 hertz 1 milisecond 4k display

I’m was lost between the Samsung C27HG70, ASUS MG28UQ and AOC AG271QX. I think I’m gonna go with the Samsung. Although it’s a QLED not 4k monitor, but it has HDR and has a good response rate and input lag.

Then go for it. You won't regret it.
