Router keeps restarting

this has been happening for a few weeks now and i finally called my isp and they sent me a new router and the problem is even worst it restarts about once every 5 minutes making it impossible to play anything

i called them again they did a series of test and nothing they said it might be cause it close to the fridge but i really doubt that since i moved it and the problem still persist it gets even worse when my brother uses his comp making it restart about once every 2-3 minutes and he doesnt even game at all not even on a console both comps are connected via wifi.....has anybody had this problem before or anybody who has an idea of what it might be thanks in advance

Is your router restarting ie. powering down and off or is the connection dropping and signing back in?

it doesnt power down but the connection resets so i have to wait for the dsl and internet lights to be solid again

Isp is Verizon and i live in socal

Check the connections and check if there is a latest firmware release for your router

i checked for everything even latest firmware and its current

Ask the ISP to look harder. Could be a line fault.
