LED sync with screen

I hope this is the right section to ask this. If not, please move my topic or suggest where I should ask this.

I'm trying to create a little bit of an immersive experience with my PC by syncing LED lights with my monitor. So far I have only found 2 software/brands that can do it. Master+ from coolermaster and dreamscreen from a kickstarter. 

 

What I am trying to accomplish is have my whole room or one wall sync up with the color on my monitor. Does anyone know if Master+ will work with other LED devices like philips hue? or cheap LED strips from Amazon? I can't find much info about this app or any reviews of people using them. I'm hoping to sync up an LED ceiling lamp and philips hue go for starters. Or maybe start with the cheaper option first and have LED strips under my desk.
