Super low FPS streaming

So I recently took up streaming and it relys heavily on a camera not on screen cap at all. I have an Okay camera on my laptop (An Asus ROIG of some sort) And it has a 1060 in it so i doubt that the issue but the site only registers 9 to 12 fps. I'de like to get 24 at least.

What CPU do you have and do you know your internet download and upload speeds in MBPS?

Um...I'll check when i get home and 15 Upi use a 5ghz connection cause i thougth it might help.

Thats not great... I probably need a desktop for what i wanna do but so far it seems the people watchin dont mind 8 to 10 fps

If you want a more accurate response you'd probably have to list your specs but it seems like a CPU bottleneck.

It might not just be a CPU bottleneck, what are you using to stream, OBS? There's a lot of settings within OBS that can change the quality of the stream and thus affect how well your computer can upload that footage. I wouldn't give up hope so easily. I'd have a look at encoding settings and the like within your streaming software.

Its a direct stream through the site, I'de honestly not rather say which site.

Fair enough, in that case the CPU is still probably the issue. Hopefully your audience don't mind . All the best.
