Itunes experts?

So just noticed and issue with my library. I don't use iTunes too much except for my car phone.

I have purchase cd's and ripped them too my pc, years ago. They are the explicit version, as all of my music is. Now they are the edited version. Is there a setting im missing that's causing it to overwrite my music?

I assume it cant be reverted but that isn't a big problem as I keep my rip and iTunes library separate.
