I have an MSI GS60 2QE with an i7-4710HQ and GTX 970m 3GB. Recently, my games have started crashing due to the device driver being lost(Overwatch: Rendering Device Lost, Tekken: d3ddevice lost, Rainbow six: No crash report because ubisoft doesn't give any, but I know it is due to overheating, and so on). I have cleaned out the heat sinks, fans etc and that didn't help. I even tried replacing the thermal paste with some kryonaut paste, but that didn't help either.

I have noticed that the games crash at 88 degrees Celsius, which I know is quite high. I am trying to reduce that in some manner. I used to be able to play games at relatively high settings but due to this problem, I need to turn down the graphics settings to low to be able to play for long times. Even those games which I got recently back into, like GTA, I have to turn down the graphics to be able to play, and I know that I was able to play for a long time on those settings because I had around 200 hours on it before I stopped playing it.

I want to be able to play my games on high again.

Any help on this would be much appreciated.
