So i have noticed that when i play most games i get this random drop.  cant figure out why.  i have a 8700K and 16gb corsair vengeance rgb pro@ 3600Mhz paired with a 1080 founders,  latest drivers.

You can see in the graph that there is a drop. This happens in all games.  its getting to the point where i dont even want to play games anymore. please help me.  all stock clocks

ah yeah i slowed down the video and i can see the FPS counter drop to 125 FPS, that's very strange it seems like it has a pattern it's not random.

 

according to the frame counter, it happens every 200 frames, that's interesting

If it only happens when you look a certain way, thats normal.

If it happens periodically and always recovers, its probably something in the background taking up CPU cycles and causing a bottleneck until its complete.

im going to try changing priority of doom and see what happens

i can't help but think this is a driver issue, it seems like you're using a really old Nvidia driver, so update it
