Hello friends, I've gotten one blue screen of death on windows 10 and its related to watchdog violation. Now a quick google search tells me to update my AHCI driver to show iaStorA.sys (from storachi.sys). I've tried updating it through windows multiple times but it some how still shows storachi.sys.

Now I'm wondering if the problem has been fixed (since I havent gotten any more BSODs so far) or is this something I should continue worry and try to fix?

My specs are:-

Windows 10 Pro 64bit

ASUS Prime Z370-A

Intel i5 8500

Corsair Vengeance 16 GB (2x8G) DDR 4

Samsung 960 EVO 500GB m.2 SSD (x2)

Seagate barracuda 2TB Harddrive (This is my oldest part, probably 5-6 years plus IIRC, not sure if this has anything to do with the problem)

Gigabyte GTX 1070

Antec HCG 850W

Let me know if I am missing any relevant information and I'll do my best to provide it.

Thank you!!

I've installed the chipset drivers and I am still unable to get it updated from storachi.sys to iaStorA.sys. In addition I've also sometimes been getting Video TDR Failutre and I've googled the fix for that which is to update the drivers for the GPU to wihch I have reinstalled.

Now I can sometimes reach the desktop without having either of these problems but more often than not, I get one of these blue screens. I am close to losing my mind with what is going on.

After I click install on the Intel chipset driver, and restarted my computer, this is what my Device Manager looks like. So I am not sure if the chipset driver actually installed or something else.

edit2: I'm sure this indicates that I have in fact installed the chipset drivers properly, right? (This was under Device Manager > System Devices.

You have everything installed and it should work as you have now.

But if you want to update your SATA drivers - I give you link to ASUS website where you can find SATA drivers.

You can update them even manually after unpacking them using Device Manager or by installing full IntelRST.
