Hi all, first things first, I'm making this in the hopes to build up a detailed list of what works and what does not with Proton through my own testing and also through others who wish to contribute. take note that there is no guarantee that because a game works for someone that it will work for you, I have 3 gaming computers in my household all with different hardware and it has resulted in some games working through proton on some but not all of my computers, could be software or hardware related of which I have not determined completely yet.

Note: if you have issues make sure your drivers are up to date, See bottom of this post for steps.

Driver Setup Help

Step 1: open a terminal window and enter the following commands

For Nvidia GPU:
Step 2: "sudo add-apt-repository ppa:graphics-drivers/ppa"

For AMD/Intel GPU:
Step 2-1: "sudo add-apt-repository ppa:paulo-miguel-dias/mesa"
Step 2-2: "sudo apt dist-upgrade"

For Nvidia/AMD/Intel GPU:
Step 3-1: "sudo apt update"
Step 3-2: "sudo apt upgrade"

For Nvidia GPU:
Step 4-1: "sudo apt install nvidia-driver-396"
Step 4-2: Pay attention to the result of above as it may fail to install due to missing dependencies files and if it does install them as well starting with one with kernel in the name if listed using the same "sudo apt install" command.

For AMD/Intel GPU:
Step 4-1: "sudo apt install mesa-vulkan-drivers mesa-vulkan-drivers:i386"
Step 4-2: same as Nvidia's 4-2 step, keep an eye out for missing dependencies

For Nvidia/AMD/Intel GPU:
Step 5-1: reboot PC
Step 5-2: opt in for the steam beta and wait for update to finish and should be good to go
