Hello,

I am from India and my ISP is BSNL and a noob when it comes to networking. I have a DSL Connection with an unlimited plan of 24Mbps & 2 Mbps Download & Upload speeds respectively. My Modem router is D-Link 2730U ADSL2+ N150 Modem Router. I mostly used internet through wifi only with my smartphone and Laptop. During the first 2 months everything was fine. But after that, if I start up the router and connecting to the internet, the internet works 100% fine for some time. But after using it for around 10 to 15 minutes or keeping the internet idle without using it, but still connected to it through wifi, the internet speed starts slowing down and gradually comes to a halt. The only solution is to restart the modem cum router.

Is this problem due to the Modem cum Router or due to the ISP? Kindly share your thoughts. If the problem is with the modem router then I am ready to switch over to a new one. Otherwise, I am planning to register a complaint against the ISP.

Thanks in advance.

With regards,

Thadougamer

I would think that would be a issue with your isp. Are you on 2.4 or 5ghz
