Hey, so basically as the title says, im upgrading my rig from an fx6300 to a 1700x budget-ish build. Im keeping my cooler powersupply and drives, and selling ram, mobo, and cpu. My question for you is how well do you think this rig will preform for mostly video rendering and occasional gaming. Im mostly worried about the mobo, because i have not purchased an asrock board yet but it has good reviews. Btw, i was going to go with the 1700 but newegg has the 1700x on sale for the same price. And yes, i will be adding more ram later but i had to scrape every dollar together for this build. Thanks everyone.

thermal paste in unnecessary, get a cheaper cooler and use the money for 16gb of ram instead. the raidmax PSU is rubbish, spend the extra on a corsair CX instead.

yeah, but i'm still gonna tell you that the PSU is bad. just spend the $40 for a good PSU, the price tag will look alot smaller if that raidmax POS blows up and kills a few parts.

Well regardless of the psu. How do you think the rest of the build looks? Do you think the asrock b450 will be able to handle the 1700x with xfr?
