network card recommendation

i'm building a file server, and i want to expand the number of ports it has for networking. 

 

it's a HP ProLiant ML350 G5. 

 

can someone recommend me some network cards that are reliable?

Generally Intel chipset cards are the go-to for this.  You can find Gigabit cards quite cheap on eBay from server pulls that were upgraded to 10Gig.  They are often branded Dell, HP, etc.

WiFi6: Zyxel NWA210AX (1.7Gbit peak at 160Mhz) WiFi5: Ubiquiti NanoHD OpenWRT (~500Mbit at 80Mhz)
ISPs: Zen Full Fibre 900 (~930Mbit down, 115Mbit up) + Three 5G (~1200Mbit down, 115Mbit up, variable)
Upgrading Laptop/Desktop CNVIo WiFi 5 cards to PCIe WiFi6e/7

What exactly are you trying to do, some kind of LACP?

i only need gigabit. 

 

i want to connect my server directly to a few computers. i don't want everything to go through one switch.
