Well, as someone who has in arsenal a number of higher end cans and as someone who appreciate good sound, I'd suggest you try to raise the 200USD for the HD6XX. It's a great pair of can with good balance of treble, mids and bass (far from basshead level though), it's a great all rounder for games (NOT as wide a soundstage as I'd have liked, but good imaging), music and movies. But hey, if you're looking to improve your rig's hardware with those upgrades, then go for it. If you're patient, you might just be lucky enough to snag a HD6XX in the garage section of your local forums when you've built up your monetary reserves.
