Usb extension

Go to solution Solved by jj9987,

Don't think you will have any noticeable difference for gaming.

Convenience might be improved.

Is there any problem if i use 5 meter long usb extension cable for my mouse (logitech g402) to play games. And also what if i use usb hub at the end of the extension cable for connecting my pendrive, keyboard and mouse at the same time. Pendrive is just for asking but what real effect on keyboard and mouse.

Just a USB extension by itself at that length could have some connectivity problems unless you use an active cable extension... or in your case the hub could take care of it. Its kind of hit or miss but there can be some signal drop off after about 15feet or so unless you introduce something into the line (like a powered hub) to boost the signal.

So my answer is it *should* be fine but sometimes results may vary.

Here is a random website from a google search that should help explain it.
