so i have a little issue.

let me explain my build 1st.

I have a H110 watercooler with 2 NF-A14PWM fans on it

a NF-A14FLX fan as an exhaust for the case.

and a 200mm fan from coolermaster as an intake.

I have a few fan-connectors on my motherboard.

one labeled cpu_fan, one labeled pwr_fan and a sys_fan_1 and a sys_fan_2

now which fans should i plug into which connector?

should I plug the pump from the watercooler into the cpu_fan connector or the 2 fans that are mounted on top of the water cooler?

also what's bothering me the most the NF-A14FLX which is plugged into the system_fan_1 connector with a low noise adapter which is supposed to reduce the rpm from the default speed of 1200RPM to 1050RPM, is actually running at 1500RPM (which as far as I understand it is faster than it's supposed to be able to run) - any ideas what might cause that and how to fix it so it runs slower and quieter?

This is the motherboard I am using if that helps at all: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-Z68XP-UD3-rev-13#ov

edit: wasn't sure where to post this, since the issue kind of involves liquid cooling, but also just regular old fans.

I'd put the AIO on the CPU header for the fans for it they can be wired to the AIO's connections for fans. As for the case you should be able to configure the headers inside the BIOS to 4 pin PWM or 3 pin DC voltage control respectively and set fan curves for it.

Ok so I played around a bit with the settings and it seems to be running better now. Now the loudest thing seems to be the pump of the radiator which is running at its default value which is a constant RPM of 1500.

Is there any specific reasoning behind such a high speed for the pump, like would it not work at a slower speed or would it just work a little less efficent but quieter if I lower the RPM of that a bit, the same as fans do?

For the H110 unit it requires the full 12V via the 3 pin connection, it's not recommended to run it lower since it may stall the pump but you can try and see if it's possible. From what I recall they are not suppose to run at a lower voltage.

If it's the newer H110i unit the pump speed can be configure in Corsair link.
