Hi folks,

I'm new here (been watching the YouTube channels for a while) so I'm sorry if I end up accidentally breaking etiquette around here. Just let me know.

Anyway, here's the build I'm working on: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/GrogStache/saved/y3z7WZ

I also plan to connect my Gigabyte GTX GTX 1080 8gig mini itx GPU to the motherboard with a 90 degree riser card, server style: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA9083KP2763&cm_re=90_degree_riser_card-_-2S7-009U-00EC3-_-Product

I'm not sure if this solution is better than a high quality riser cable, but with my space constraints it works pretty dang well. Let me know what issues you think might crop up.

Also, I've selected a PSU that's meant for servers for its form factor. a traditional SFF PSU won't fit in my custom case. I'd love to hear what issues the PSU I've selected might run into.

Lastly (for now), What do you think of using a Ryzen 2600 with a 1080 and 16GB of 2966 DDR4? Is my CPU gonna end up bottle-necking the GPU?

Thanks folks, and have a good day!

Nice !

I was expecting an x300 build when looking at the title , which got me all excited as i've never seen one before , but i guess this is also cool... :P

Also ,the 2600 is a decent CPU , so it shouldn't be a bottleneck . Although i do recommend the 2600x if you can ,because of the more aggressive boost

AMD Ryzen R7 1700 (3.8ghz) w/ NH-D14, EVGA RTX 2080 XC (stock), 4*4GB DDR4 3000MT/s RAM, Gigabyte AB350-Gaming-3 MB, CX750M PSU, 1.5TB SDD + 7TB HDD, Phanteks enthoo pro case

Crap, you're right. I didn't mean to be misleading. I guess I should have just said "mITX build" or something. I was just trying to figure out how to say that I have height restrictions similar to the Node 202 case.

Also the price difference for the 2600x is like 20 bucks in some places, so I'll definitely swap up to it if it's got any kind of real benefit. I basically wanted at least 6 cores and chose the first Ryzen 2nd gen that had them.
