Getting SMS on Desktop

I've been trying to get my SMS text messages through Action Center on Windows 10.  I've got it to work, but it requires https://messages.android.com/ to be open in Chrome at all times.  Is there any way that I can set this up to give me notifications even when Google Chrome is closed.  I do have "Continue Running apps when Google Chrome is closed" on, but it doesn't seem to be working.  Thanks for any help that can be offered!

The other way would be linking phone and Win10, but that requires you to use MS launcher on android.
