Recently bought a laptop with an nvidia nvs 5200m graphics in it. after watching some videos, I found that it could somewhat decently run games, like csgo on all low at 80 fps and gta at low/medium at 40 fps, so i figured eh ill buy it cause it was cheap and i just wanted to do some light gaming. so I started using it and tried csgo, which ended up being horrible, bot sure exact framerate but was below 30 and probably below 20. I already had the nvidia drivers installed, but not the intell drivers for hd 4000. So i installed those just now. additionally, i was using an external hdd to play csgo off of. Ive decided to actually install it now because i thought maybe the usb connection was slowing it down somehow. Until it finishes, which will be hours because potato wifi, is something wrong? there are a few different drivers i can get so am i getting the wrong ones? Seems strange others could play so well on youtube but now it doesnt work.

Does this nb have Optimus? If yes did you set CSGO to use Nvidia graphic because if not it will use Intel HD instead.

What monitor are you using (resolution/refresh rate)?

I7 3740qm. 4c8t turbos to 3.7. it doesn't have a huge cache, but it's a decent size.

Edit: the refreshate is the standard 60hz monitor on the laptop.

It does and it's on in bios, I also went to Nvidia control panel and made cago use Nvidia graphics, which I would assume it already was since the going usage was 100% after playing.
