hi

Some of the games below uses 100% of my cpu and I think i need to uppgrade soon.  I dont know if the i5 8700k or the i7 is better for me.  If i upgrade, is it really worth to buy a new mb, cpu and cooler. What is the best value mb and cpu cooler, for good overclocking?

I mainly use my pc for gaming (1440p)

games:

ac origins

Fallout4 (mods)

Bf 1

watchdogs2

(shadow of the tomb raider, metro exodus)

(i live in europe)

  • i5 6600k oc at 4.6 GHz
  • 16GB ddr4
  • z170 Extreme 4
  • zotac gtx 1080 amp oc at 1930 MHz
  • 750 w psu

there is no i5 8700k, the highest current i5 is the 8600k, but the differences between Skylake and Coffeelake aren't even that significant, mostly little improvements to thermals and more cores, which I don't think Fallout 4, Battlefield 1, or Watchdogs 2 uses 6 cores.
