Hey guys, I need help choosing between 2 screens! my tip is, dont go for 1440p , go for 1080p or  go all the way to 4k

Already have 1080p 60hz, looking for a step up. And 1440 144hz generally seems to be favoured compared to 4k 60hz on the net.

It's a little hard to say as the MSI monitor doesn't have an informative review from what I could find. However, the Asus has a nice review from tftcentral.co.uk that I recommend reading if you end up getting it. Going off the specs, I'd assume that the MSI has good contrast, good colors once hardware calibrated but some pretty off-putting backlight bleed and out-of-the-box colors. Looking at the review, the Asus has good out-of-the-box colors, good enough input lag and should be great for gaming. I'd consider the MSI a much riskier option compared to the Asus so I'd get the MG279Q if I were you.
