Okay, so I had posted a bit earlier this week about how one monitor on my dual monitor setup had died and just wouldn't connect to my computer. I got that fixed, and I know how to fix it. But the thing is, I have an ongoing issue with my computer which seems to be causing the problem. I just recently moved to a new apartment, and I would turn on my desktop. Used to be, there was no problem, and there wasn't for the first week or so I was here. However, after a while, there would be times where my computer screens would just turn off, and it would start blowing incredibly loudly, and I would have to shut it down and turn it back on. I'm just wondering what could be causing this? A bad connection to the cooler or something? I would like to be able to fix this, because it is annoying when it happens, and it has been happening now almost every time I turn on the computer. Any help is appreciated.

OK I have noticed form my time troubleshooting computers that if there is a hardware fault the computer will sort of try to reboot with powerloss or (fault tripping) or something similar, it can get stuck in this weird state with no signal, and fans ramped up all the way, IF this is the case, you wont get any sound from it so if you have had this happen during a vid or something disregard the rest of this message and let me know. OTHERWISE check to see everything is plugged in, seated, and otherwise proper in your case.

There was a point where I was listening to music once, and Netflix the other. And the sound did run for quite a while with the music, and the Netflix for a while there.

About 5-10 seconds

OK so what I said earlier still applies, only if you're confident in tooling around inside though, note* try 1 stick of ram and make sure its in right slot, also did you change anything else recently? and install coretemp to see if you're burning up

I have Cam currently installed, but I will try that. And yeah, nothing has really changed, it just started happening one day when I moved here. But all my stuff had been the same since I'd came from my house, and nothing changed besides the cooler. I had used the cooler on this pc before, but I changed, and then changed back.

I think tomorrow I may do that, and apply some fresh thermal paste maybe?

possibly, only if its too hot, but sometimes coolers can be overtightened and cause TONS of weird ass problems that can be fixed by turning a single screw less than a quarter turn
