Upgrading Pc

Go to solution Solved by Slottr,

Always best to reinstall windows when changing motherboards so you don't face any driver complications

So I built a new PC and it’s time to move my SSD and HDD to my new rig. My SSD and HDD are currently being used with a 7th gen Intel motherboard and older hardware from last gen with 7th gen Intel drivers and what not. Do I simply just restore both the SSD and HDD and put them into the new rig which has 8th gen Intel hardware along with my newer motherboard (msi z370) Does that work? Also I’m perfectcly fine with completely restoring my hard drives to put them into my new rig, any help is appreciated. Thanks!
