Random laptop freezing

Go to solution Solved by Onboard87,

try this as you run disk error unplug your router for 30 sec to 1 min. let it completely restart and then try it as i see you are having a CLSID which is more often seen when having trouble connecting to or downloading from a server.

Hi. I have an Asus ZX553VD with i7 7700HQ, 8GB ram and a GTX 1050 2GB. I have windows 10 Home preinstalled on it. The issue that I have is that sometimes just randomly the screen freezes no matter what program/game. As an example when I was in Edge and I started writing it just froze the screen and then if I pressed any other letter on the keyboard after that nothing would show up, but if I unplug/plug the laptop to charge, it unfreezes and then it shows the extra letters I pressed in the search bar. It doesn't happen in a specific scenario, it's just random. Can someone explain why is it happening and how to fix it.

Are you familiar with the Windows Error log?

Bow down to me humans.

I can't help if you don't quote me. How am I supposed to know if you need my premium support? Now starting at £399.99 a year.

Also, be a sport and mark the correct answer as the correct answer. It will help pour souls in the future when they are stuck and need guidance.

"If it works, proceed to take it apart and 'make it work better.' Then cry for help when it breaks." - Me, about five minutes ago when my train of thought wandered.

I think so. You mean the event viewer thing? Not very familiar with it.

If you open it upafer the laptop freezes you should see something to tell you what the issue is. It would also be an idea to keep task manager running to see what the performance is like

Ok. I will try. Should I also try do chkdsk /F C:? As I've seen when I did the first disk check it said that it the command wasn't the one specified and it will run on read only
