My issue is quite a perplexing one and I'll try to explain it as best as I can so apologies if I tend to be long winded.

My main issue is that occasionally when I restart my computer/pull hard drives,my SSD will refuse to boot into Windows. It would state that there is no boot device found despite showing up in the BIOS boot manager as a bootable device. If it allows me to proceed further,it will state that there is no operating system found on the drive and to restart the computer.

I had already formatted the drive due to this issue before, chalking it up to a bad installation of Windows 10 Pro and reinstalled from an ISO of Windows and everything appeared to be working fine until I rebooted the system and instead of booting into the new installation of Windows,it asked if I would want to boot from Partition 1 or Partition 2 of Windows 10 Pro. Partition 2 being the working installation of Windows 10 Pro and Partition 1 prompting that there was no OS installed. I ignored the issue for a while since I almost never power off my system(work computer)  until today when I had to pull 2 hard drives from my system.I powered off the computer(unplugged power cable, drained capacitors, and pulled the drives out) while leaving the original boot drive untouched.I powered up the system and the drive stated there was no installed OS. I tried to repair the drive using Windows Repair Options and ran bootrec/fixboot, bootrec/fixmbr, bootrec/rebuildbcd thinking it was a MBR issue but the issue persisted.

At this point,I did try multiple Sata cables and power cables to the drive as well as different Sata ports on the motherboard but no luck there.

Finally I gave up and reinstalled Windows 10 Pro onto a clean hard drive(left the original boot drive connected so I could try to pull files from it) and after POST,was prompted to select a version of Windows to boot from: Windows 10 or Windows 10 Pro.I selected Windows 10 Pro as that was the version I had running on both drives and I booted normally into my ORIGINAL SSD..

Any ideas as to what's causing my issue with this drive? It's a Corsair Force GT Sata 3 SSD.

Is it just time to upgrade to a newer SSD or is this something I can sort out myself?
