G-sync on windowed mode

Go to solution Solved by Spotty,

You will need to use a DisplayPort cable to connect to a Gsync capable monitor. Gsync won't work on your second monitor if it does not support Gsync.

You can enable Gsync to run in non full screen applications. Go in to the Nvidia control panel and find the options for "Set up Gsync". There you can select between only in full screen or in full screen and windowed.

Heyo,

I have the Acer Predator XB271HU monitor and I plan to use it as my main monitor for streaming. Since it is a 1440p monitor, I want to run games on windowed mode 1080p to use the extra screen real estate for other windows like the chat. Can I still take advantage of G-Sync on my game despite it not running in full screen?

Also as a side question, what cable do I need to use to enable G-Sync? My 2nd monitor uses VGA (currently with a HDMI converter) and I'm planning on getting the new 20 series cards once it comes out.
