Just wondering if anyone knows a good 500 to 700$ laptop for light gaming and school work that would be great

Probably an R5 2500U machine for the 4c/8t CPU, or something used with like a 950M/960M maybe

It's just likely the best you'll be able to get.

 

does maybe 720p 60fps in AAA games, can probably do esports titles at 1080p.

Seems close to an R5 2500U, though the 950M laptop only had a dual core i7.

If you just wanted something new/decent the Matebook D might be a decent  choice if you can find one.

I suppose, but an ITX PC would be comparable and cheaper if it's using an R3 2200G or R5 2400G.

 

Or you might be able to get an RX 570 into the budget if it's just an ITX PC.

I have an Acer e15, it can run most games in 720p, 60fps at low to mid settings. It has a decent mx150 gpu, the latest mobile version of gt1030. It only cost us$600.

Hello Folks , i'm thinking of buying a new laptop for gaming/ and some CAD  for a price of 1800$ max if it has a gtx 1070 in it it would be great .
