DirectX problems with games

I try to play League of legends and everytime i get in the loading screen ( right before the game starts ) the screen is black and a msg pops up saying ''A directX error has occured and league cannot start.Please make sure your video card has the latest updates from your manufacturer (Nvidia).

I know its not related that much to this site's purpose but since people ( to a percentage ) have knowledge of drivers and stuff what could it be ?? I have all the latest updates from nvidia and infact its the reason this happened...

Yesterday i got in a game and i had 12 fps , i then downloaded the update for the gpu and i couldnt get in the game any longer...

Might also be worth trying a directx reinstall too. It isn't as obvious as it should be to track down but it can be downloaded. If you run other steam games, you might often see its installer run as an update the first time.
