My new cooler, a Corsair H80i V2 is going to be getting here on 8/28, and I am doing some pre-prep, I already checked to make sure it'll fit, but I have a few questions hopefully someone can answer.

1) How many motherboard connectors does the device use? to my understanding, it takes both the fan connections in at the pump, then the pump connects to CPU_FAN from the old cooler, allowing both fans and pump to be driven off that, then a USB 2.0 9 or 5 pin for Link?

2) That USB connector is a problem for me because I don't have any USB 2.0 internal connectors on my Motherboard, is there a 1x PCIe Card with those style of internal jacks? I've got one slot open.

H80 i uses 1 USB 2.0 header and 1 fan header.
So u will be needing 2 fan headers.

What motherboard are u using? Seems to be weird that u don't have any  internal USB2.0 connectors considering you are using a i7 7700, u must use the 200-chipset they surely have usb 2.0 header.

They usually look like this :

I'm ashamed to say it's a pre-built. USB internal wise it's only got USB 3.0 (one) for the front panel.

Acer G3-710, 7700,1070,32gb ddr4, the drives are far from stock but

the model number doesnt do much for you, given how many machines they manufactured under that "G3-710"

Purchase this -> https://www.amazon.com/Nzxt-Internal-Controller-Black-AC-IUSBH-M1/dp/B01IFGFTJ2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1535163173&sr=8-1&keywords=nzxt+internal+usb+hub+controller

Connect the White header on the nzxt controller to port number 27 on the motherboard as shown in the photo above. U get available USB 2.0 headers now.

U can also convert the usb 3.0 to as usb 2.0 header by using this :

Mini usb socket plugs into the pump, and at the end of the mini usb cable  is the usb 2.0 9 pin female connector.

Or u can also not use the usb and just connect the pump and the fan through the splitter to the cpu fan header on the mobo and run the fan/pump at 100% speed.

Only downside of not connecting the microusb to the pump is just u dont have the ability to monitor or adjust the profiles.
