Budget PC issue

I am currently building a budget pc for a friend of mine but I do not know what kind of ram would be compatible with the motherboard and processor I was going to give him some of my old ram initially before realizing it was ddr2..

That CPU won't work in that board.

I suggest using PC Partpicker to compile all your components so you don't run into compatibility issues like you have already.

Yes, that's right. And chose a MB that has Socket 1151. After that ask what ram would be compatible. (EDIT) And try to use this website. It will tell you if there's problems. (Helps a lot).
