my driver before trying to update was 17.1.something which i don't remember

i got error 1603, i tried DDU in safe mode and tried again then i got generic error

i tried an older version of the drivers (17.12.1) always after DDU and again same problems

i also tried in uefi bios and not of the gpu (it has 2 as far as i know, it changes with a blue "S" led button)

Hit win+R, and enter services.msc, find Windows Installer, double click it, and see if it's stopped or started. If it's stopped, start it, if it's started, stop it and then start it again. Then hit win+R, and type in msiexec /regserver.

Also make sure you're running it as an administrator, and double check your permissions to the drive. As error 1603 can be caused by both of these.
