Im in need of an upgrade for a new GPU.. im currently running on a i7 7700k and EVGA 950ti.. i want something that can run games at 100+ frames at 1920x1080 HD, but i dont know if its worth to toss the $600 for the new RTX 2070.. or should i get a 1080/1070ti.. my budget is around $650 but im okay with a little more and definitely okay with less money if that is worth it.. thanks for the help guys

A 1080 should be able to handle that in most games, (obviously not something like Battlefield 1 or GTA V at max settings). Same goes for the 1070 ti as performance is relatively close to the 1080, especially when overclocked, but you'd probably get slightly less fps than the 1080, so I would go with that. A 2070 will likely be much better if you don't mind waiting and spending some extra money.

If you can wait this long.  wait until the new gen drops... and pickup a 1080ti, or a 1080, or 1070ti for cheap on the used market.

Soon as the new gen hits, people will dump their old cards for the new ones, you might be able to get a good deal.

Next gen technically has dropped. People are selling their old cards for ridiculous prices on Ebay.

A used 1080Ti costs $450-500, a 1080 or 1070 costs $350-400.
