looking for AMD or Intel? Unless of course you don't have preference.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Buy a used i7 5930k and a something like an Asus X99 Deluxe motherboard, used GTX 1080 founders edition and a Corsair AX 860i, 16GB Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR4 RAM, Corsair H115i cpu cooler, any case that supports ATX motherboards. Storage is up to you.

PSU is overkill and known to have a boot bug, don't suggest it. Founder's 1080 poor choice regarding temps... and it sells for $500, above the FTW, making even an even poorer choice. The X99, maybe. For $1500 I'd much rather get Pinnacle Ridge.

Not if they intend to overclock their cpu, ram and gpu.

Nope, it's still overkill. You can get away with 750W PSU + 5930K and 1080 OC EASILY. Also, you clearly didn't do your research regarding those PSUs. I have a faulty one at my place sitting doing nothing...

1080 Ti is a waste of money to buy at $635 right now, 2080 is coming out tomorrow for not so much more and it'll make much more sense.

The new GPUS are gonna be mondo expensive though at launch and 1080tis are dropping in price compared to where they were at several months ago.

They're better performance though at least.
