Ssd not showing up

Just bought a new Kingston 120gb ssd and plugged it into my DVD drive bay with a caddy on my hp laptop. It is showing up in hp ueif diagnostics but no where to seen in bios or in windows. I formatted it with ntfs by connecting it to laptop with usb
