underperforming pc

Hey guys, 

 

So I just bought myself a new 144hz monitor for some smooth gaming. I mainly play cs:go and league of legends. 

However my fps is lower than expected which sucks because the 144hz suffers under it. In league of legends I expected to reach 200+ fps at medium settings.

However im only getting 100-150. at medium low settings. I just updated my bios and nothing has changed.

 

My pc specs are:

cpu: amd ryzen 1700

gpu: amd rx 580 sapphire 8gb

ram: 2x 8gb corsair vengeance 

mb: msi x370 gaming plus

psu: 500Watt coolermaster, not sure which one exactly but im certain it functions fine. 

HDD: 1TB seagate (pretty old)
