Radeon HD 7700 and Ryzen 5 1600

I got a summer job this year and i was going to use the money to build a computer for VR. I have a little over $400 currently and want to start building it. I can use my current PSU and case. But the real question is can i re-use my Radeon HD 7700 with the Ryzen 1600? Will it be a huge bottle neck or can i still play the few light games that i can play now? I can wait (My parent probably will make me wait until i have everything saved) but i was just interested to see how bad my Graphics card is.

if you're using the HD7700 in your main system already, no matter what stupendous levek of bottleneck it will be, pairing it with a better cpu than you have now can only result in performance being the same or better.

 

the only way you can go with upgrading hardware is up, even if that "up" is the equivalent of putting a sports suspension on a 2cv, while waiting for a better engine to arrive.
