Laptop ram upgrade

Hello all

I have a old mackbook and I waned to make it a bit faster it comes with a whopping 1 gb or ram .. I know right lol... So I waned to see if i can put lets say 4 gigs of ram and a ssd in is.
But I could use some help with the ram as I am not sure if the sticks I am looking at will work.
I have attached a pic of the ram I have pulled out from the laptop.

also this laptop is only going to be used for word processing and videos.
is ram going to help this machine be faster ? I know that the ssd will help a lot ...

Ideally Id like to put in as much ram as I can in this laptop since its this ram is cheep

it has ddr2 so I say early or late 2008 ?
I have a laptop that has the same meory ( ram ) and it works in the mac so... I just want to get like 4 gigs of it
