I've just managed to grab an old laptop that was about to be chucked out from work.

was thinking about keeping it in the landrover for a hooking up to gps for navigation/gps download / checking out airmaps and stuff.
the kind of thing a mate of mine does with memorymap. does anyone recomend any gps software on linux
I use seeyou on my work laptop but not convinced it would be up to the job on the old lappy. and it doesn't hit the min spec for memory-map.
any thoughts would be apreciated.
