New SSD - should I switch it with the current one for OS?

Right now I'm running my OS, all software and a few games on my 5 year old Samsung 840 EVO 250GB - the current TBW is 30TB.

I'm getting a new 860 EVO 250GB to enjoy quicker loading times on more games and not having to install some on my mechanical HD.

I'm guessing it's better to set up the new SSD as my primary one just because the old one is more likely to fail first.

Thoughts?

I'd probably switch it over to newer sdd, and that way you can start fresh as well since windows stacks updates
