i would upgrade the CPU, i would try to find a good deal or ideally a used i7-6700/7700...sell the i5-6500 to get some money back.

Then i would upgrade the monitor to somthing better, a 27'' 2560x1440p for example.

And then i would wait for next gen cards to come out at which point i would sell the RX 480 to get money toward a new graphics card.

| CPU: Core i7-8700K @ 4.89ghz - 1.21v  Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX Z370-E GAMING  CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i V2 |
| GPU: MSI RTX 3080Ti Ventus 3X OC  RAM: 32GB T-Force Delta RGB 3066mhz |
| Displays: Acer Predator XB270HU 1440p Gsync 144hz IPS Gaming monitor | Oculus Quest 3 VR

is it worth future proofing the cpu now or not really since i can only buy 1-3 parts now. how about the motherboard? i dont really mind waiting and im aiming on parts that can actually last for atleast 2-3 years.thanks
