In games that need CPU horsepower then you will have a CPU bottleneck.

you could get an RX 580 it's the same price than the 1060, offers similar performance and has more memory

do consider upgrading the cpu in the future

ASUS X470-PRO • R7 1700 4GHz • Corsair H110i GT P/P • 2x MSI RX 480 8G • Corsair DP 2x8 @3466 • EVGA 750 G2 • Corsair 730T • Crucial MX500 250GB • WD 4TB

Those damn bottleneck posts. Instead of downgrading your gpu, how about upgrading your cpu?

Do you really think that if you are going with a 1050ti you are going to get more fps than with a 1060? NO.

You are not going to get more fps on weaker hardware, even if you are not going to be bottlenecked.

I only see your reply if you @ me.

Fortnight is a bit CPU hungry.

What resolution are you going to be playing at?

1920x1080.

I am currently playing fortnite using i3-7100 and gtx 1050 2GB, and it runs fine apart from occasional jumps, and a low frame rate which I want to increase.

Thanks for getting back to me :)

I'm not downgrading my gpu, I am currently using gtx 1050 with the i3-7100, so I am wanting to upgrade my gpu so I can increase fps, but wanted to make sure my cpu wouldn't bottleneck a gtx 1060 if I bought it.

It will bottleneck in cpu intensive games, but in gpu intensive games you will get more fps with a 1060 than with a 1050ti.

Best way to be sure on what to upgrade is play fornight, and watch your GPU and CPU load.

If your CPU is at 100% than thats what is holding you back

If your GPU is @ 100% than that is what is holding you back

Ok thank you, I will do :)
