Hey all,

My iPhone 5 has cracked glass on the touch screen, and touch doesn't register properly. All the display colors seem to be intact though. What replacement parts to I need to buy? An LCD, a touch screen digitizer, or more glass? I don't really understand the difference between all these parts. Also, could anyone point me to some cheap repair kits with all the tools/parts that I need? Not looking to spend any more than 25-30 bucks.

Thanks everyone for your time!

LCD is the screen it used to display images, Digitizer aka touchscreen is used to control your input on your screen by touching it ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). Glass are used to protect the digitizer from scratch.

You need to identify the problem, If its only the glass then just buy another TG Screen protector but if its the digitizer i doubt you can replace it yourself though but you;re welcome to try

So would something like this be good for replacing the broken glass? Also, how to I get the broken glass off?

Yeah but damn those are expensive.

You need to peel it yourself using whatever is available but becareful try not to break the digitizer.

Wait does your iphone already protected by tempered glass or not?
