So I've wanted a standing desk for a while now. Last year I "built" a desk from IKEA. I got a 72" by 25" countertop and sat it on top of 2 ALEX drawers and it worked well enough. Then I decided I wanted something a little deeper than 25" so I bought a second hand desk for $60 which is 63" by 30". It's not quite long enough though since I have a 34" ultra wide and a 27" 16:9 on it (both mounted on arms). I figured I should get a monoprice standing desk frame and buy my own desktop. I'm having trouble finding what I need. I would like something  72" - 90" wide but I also want it to at least be 30" deep. IKEA has the length I want in countertops but not the depth (they seem to max out at 25"). I want the additional width so I can eventually add a 3rd monitor to my setup.

Any ideas where I can get the tabletop I'm looking for? I'd also like to keep it in the ohhh $50 - $250 USD range.

Thanks!

I'd suggest building your own as well.

There are community workplaces where you can bring in resources and use the machinery that is there with the help of professionals.

Usually for a small fee or even free at times.

You could look into something like this:

You could mount your monitors in the corner piece and have the rest over for collectibles or pens etc.

At the size that you want, you'll either be paying a ridiculous amount of money for what will honestly be a bulky/ugly desk.

Or you'll want to go custom.

I personally suggest going the custom route, it's not that hard.

Heck, want a quick and easy way? Just buy a door, the ones without any pre-drilled holes for the handle in it(or do and use that hole for cable management), the kind that doesn't have any motifs on it and is just a plain flat door. (for example, price is in Canadian Rupees)

Or I'm sure any half decent hardware store have large wood/melamine surfaces/panel that they can cut to the size you want. After that, if you've chosen a Wood surface, you'd just have to either paint it(please don't... what's the point of buying a beautiful wood surface if you're going to cover it up) or stain/varnish it.

(Example 1, Example 2)

From there you just center it and install it on the legs you already got from Ikea and you're off the the races.
